Catherine Martineau, Fred Charpie, Brent Bondy and Jim Duggan took part in the Northwest Ohio Manufacturing Forum and Expo, sponsored by the Northwest Ohio Regional Economic Development Association and the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association, on November 9, 2011. The forum included speakers on such topics as supply chain development and new technology ventures. The expo included an industrial trade show with exhibits from various manufacturers. MacMillan, Sobanski & Todd sponsored an exhibit featuring many of the technologies that have resulted in issued patents.

Brent Bondy and Jonathan Sandys took part in a seminar sponsored by the Toledo Intellectual Property Law Association on November 16, 2011, relating to the recently enacted America Invents Act. The seminar covered substantive amendments to Title 35 of the U.S. Code, and included an open forum to discuss the practical implications of the Act for practicing attorneys and others involved in the patent process.

Greg Robinette presented a seminar entitled "Intellectual Property Primer for Small Business" at the Ohio State University Extension Office in Bowling Green on September 28, 2011. The seminar was an introduction and overview to patents, trademarks and copyrights, including what they are and why a business owner needs to know about them. The seminar was presented by the Business Council of the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce as part of its Lunch & Learn series of programs.
